SYRUP: Each 5 mL contains: Salbutamol 2 mg (as sulfate)

Salbutamol syrup is indicated for the relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma of all types, chronic bronchitis, emphysema and other obstructive pulmonary disease.

Adults: The usual effective dose is 4 mg( 2 tablets or 10 mL of syrup ) every 8 hours daily. If adequate bronchodilation is not obtained, each single dose maybe gradually increased to as much as 8 mg. However, it has been established that some patients obtain adequate relief with 2 mg taken three or four times daily.

Children: The following doses should be taken every 8 hours daily or as prescribed by the physician.2-6 years:1mg (2.5 mL or ½ teaspoonful),half tablet 7-12 years:2 mg(5 mL or 1 teaspoonful), one tablet

Over 12 years: 2-4 mg (5-10 mL or 1-2 teaspoonful)
